History
CylinderSazi Tehran Ltd. (CST) was founded with the mission of supplying and manufacturing oil drill bits. This began with a trilateral agreement involving Kala Naft and Smith Bits, alongside a bilateral agreement with Smith Bits, leading to the successful joint-manufacturing of our first drill bit in 2001. CST Ltd. takes pride in achieving high end-user satisfaction. We have successfully joint-manufactured over 6,500 drill bits—including Tricone and Fixed Cutter bits in various sizes—delivering reliable performance and excellent customer service. Today, in addition to manufacturing and supplying a comprehensive range of drill bits, CST Ltd. offers bit refurbishment and conducts rigorous drill bit inspections in accordance with API Spec 7.
Achievement
Currently, CylinderSazi Tehran Company not only supplies a comprehensive range of drill bits and ancillary accessories—including various types of nozzles—but also provides technical inspection services compliant with API Spec 7 standards, as well as bit repair and refurbishment services. Leveraging a specialized team of trained Iranian experts and drawing inspiration from technical knowledge acquired from SMITH International, combined with years of experience in manufacturing drill bits and drilling equipment, the company achieved a historic milestone in February 2013 (Bahman 1391) by manufacturing the first-ever Iranian drill bit in the history of the country’s oil industry. Following rigorous field testing, the bit's performance was proven to match comparable American products and was fully approved by the clients.
